Writing coaching is what Sudden Publishing does best. Remember, a book is nothing without a great story. Yes, our writing coaching will make you a better writer by helping you spotlight your strengths and develop your weaknesses, but most importantly our coaching will help you design your story-telling approach.
You don’t have to be a writer to captivate an audience.
Everyone's heard the Chinese proverb, "Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime."
Sudden Publishing does not offer writing or ghost writing services, instead we coach writers to record their stories over a series of one-on-one sessions. Our unique "family scribe" concept expands on the learning of each project so that our customers can continue to archive the stories of their family and friends without our help.

EDITING
We encourage writers to write. At Sudden Publishing helping our clients get their stories and experiences on paper is the core of our business. Our coaching sessions become part of the substantive editing process—directing our customers as they produce their work, including emphasis on:
- Chapter structure
- Theme focus
- Detail development
- Chronology
Intermittent coaching and editing advice in the writing/development process significantly reduces the number of revisions and puts our clients in better position to publish a book they'll be proud of.
We also offer substantive editing and proofreading service options to clients who have already completed a first draft. Services include advice on grammar and syntax patterns to help our clients tell their stories more effectively.

DESIGN AND PRODUCTION
Your story is original, so should the production. Sudden Publishing covers and interiors are tailored to your content—no templates. We believe if a book doesn't stand out on our shelves it won't stand out to your intended audience.
At Sudden Publishing every book that has our imprint is commercial quality. The books you distribute will be as beautiful and professional as anything you'd find in a bookstore. That means thoughtful, meticulous editing and original design.
Careful editing is essential in getting your book read. Like a crack in a sidewalk, a typo or inconsistency can trip up a reader and affect the credibility of your story. Worst still, the wrong word can change or cloud your meaning.
Approximately half the production cost of a Sudden Publishing book is copyediting and proofreading. Copyediting is coarse-grit sandpaper—taking off the rough edges. Proofreading is the fine grit that smoothes and polishes.
You will be proud of your Sudden Publishing book, because you will be proud of the quality of the story between its covers.

PRINTING
Sudden Publishing will do everything to prepare your book for the finest-quality digital printing, so you'll be proud of every aspect of your book. We'll use our technical graphics expertise to coordinate, create and submit the files to the printer and meticulously walk you through the proof copies.
